Boa Constrictor

Boa Constrictor
The dark brown ground color of the boa constrictor is covered by varying blotches of beige to grey.
They inhabit dry forests of Central and South America where they feed on birds and small mammals.
Boas are seasonal breeders with females giving birth to anywhere between 20-50 young once or twice a year.
Almost all captive boa constrictors are now captive-bred because wild boas are protected under CITES II to limit their international trade.
