Cuban Boa

Epicrates Angulifer
This snake is golden brown to yellow with dark blotches and tan-brown fused markings.
Being a constrictor, the 6 ½ foot Cuban boa feeds primarily on birds, small mammals, and lizards.
After nourishing the offspring through a primitive placental attachment, mothers give live birth to 25-30 offspring once a year.
They are native only to Cuba and even though population status is unknown, they should be considered threatened.
